What's Inside a Post & Prep Booklet?

Every Post & Prep booklet has been carefully designed to help students remember more, forget less, and arrive ready to learn.

How Does Post & Prep Work?

Each week, students complete one Post task and one Prep task. The Prep task remains the same each week, but the Post task alternates between Red and Green.

Learning Maps

Each subject booklet begins with a Learning Map — an overview of the Post and Prep tasks students will complete throughout the term, helping them see how their learning connects across weeks, topics, and subjects.

 

Learning Boxes

Before each task, students are provided with a Learning Box containing the key knowledge they need. This may include key vocabulary, important facts, diagrams and images, worked examples, step-by-step methods, and common misconceptions.

 

Examples and Non-Examples

Students are also provided with examples and non-examples. An example shows what success looks like. A non-example shows a common mistake or misconception. By comparing the two, students develop a clearer understanding of the knowledge or skill being taught.

 

Self-Quizzing Boxes

Self-Quizzing Boxes encourage students to actively retrieve knowledge from memory. Questions may ask: What do you know? How do you do it? When would you use it? Students can use these questions independently, write down responses, or ask someone to quiz them.

 

Feedforward

Each booklet includes a Feedforward section, completed in class. This allows teachers to address misconceptions, provide guidance, and help students improve their understanding. Feedforward ensures homework remains connected to classroom learning.
