Celebrating a Successful Open Evening

Following our recent Open Evening, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all the families who joined us and experienced Uxbridge High School.

We hope the evening gave prospective families a real flavour of life at Uxbridge High School. Our students played a key role in making the evening such a success, volunteering their time and representing the school exceptionally well.

We received a great deal of positive feedback from visitors about our students, and we are incredibly proud of the way they demonstrated the gold standard we strive for across the school.

For families who would like to see the school in action, we encourage you to book a place at one of our upcoming Open Mornings. Demand is high, with sessions already heavily oversubscribed, and further dates will be added to the school website.
 

Getting the Most Out of Arbor

Parents and carers are reminded to make sure they have downloaded the Arbor app. The app provides an important way to stay up to date with your young person’s progress and achievements.

Positive behaviour points and other updates are shared through Arbor, allowing parents and carers to celebrate achievements at home. The app also provides access to behaviour information and, over the coming weeks, further attainment data to help families track progress. Click here to log into Arbor
 

Supporting Post and Prep at Home

Thank you to parents and carers for the positive feedback we have received about post and prep. We appreciate the support families are providing at home.

To provide additional guidance, a new section has been added to the Uxbridge High School website. Parents can visit the Curriculum section and select Post and Prep to access helpful videos, frequently asked questions and PDF versions of the relevant documents.

Targeted Support for Year 11 and Year 13

Our Year 11 and Year 13 intervention programmes have now begun, following the first round of mock examinations.

The results from these assessments are helping staff identify specific areas where individual students can benefit from additional support. This targeted approach will allow us to focus on the needs of each young person as they work towards achieving their best possible outcomes in their GCSEs and A levels.

Further information about the intervention programmes will be shared with students and families in the coming weeks.
