Principals Weekly Update

Celebrating Our Community and Looking Ahead

Welcome to the penultimate Principal's Vlog of the 2025–26 academic year. As another successful year draws to a close, this week's vlog focuses on three key themes: thanking our school community, celebrating National School Sports Week, and looking ahead to the new academic year.

Thank You to Our School Community

This time of year provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything we have achieved together and to thank the people who make our school such a special place.

Over the past few weeks, we have celebrated a number of memorable events, including the Year 11 Golden Laurel Awards, the Year 11 Prom, transition activities for new students, and preparations for Culture Day. None of these events would be possible without the dedication and commitment of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the continued support of our parents and carers.

A special thank you goes to everyone involved in organising the Year 11 Prom. Staff from across the school worked behind the scenes to create a fantastic evening for our students, while members of the leadership team stayed throughout the event to ensure every student enjoyed a safe and memorable celebration.

We would also like to recognise the incredible efforts of Miss Moore, Miss Pradeep and MrMalesci , whose hard work and commitment have helped make this year's production of Little Shop of Horrors such a tremendous success. Thank you to everyone who has supported the performances and celebrated the outstanding talents of our students.

National School Sports Week

This week's assembly theme is National School Sports Week, highlighting the many ways sport contributes to young people's development.

Whether students enjoy participating, spectating or learning about sport, it provides valuable opportunities to develop teamwork, resilience, determination and confidence. Sport also plays an important role in promoting positive physical and mental wellbeing, supporting our commitment to helping every student achieve their very best.

With major sporting events such as Wimbledon, the Women's T20 Cricket, the Tour de France, and the FIFA Club World Cup capturing attention this summer, there has never been a better time to celebrate the positive impact that sport can have on our lives.

Looking Ahead

This week also saw us welcome our new Year 7 students for Transition Day. Despite the warm weather, they approached the day with enthusiasm and maturity, making an excellent first impression. Thank you to all our new families for supporting this important milestone as students prepare to join the Uxbridge High School community in September.

As we approach the end of term, we encourage all families to keep an eye on our website, Arbor and social media channels for important updates and information to help students make a successful start to the 2026–27 academic year.

Thank you once again for your continued support throughout another fantastic year. We look forward to sharing highlights from Culture Day in next week's final Principal's Vlog and wish everyone an enjoyable weekend.
