On 10th January, Uxbridge High School students competed against a number of schools including Stockley, Barnhill and Swakeleys at this year’s semi-final of the Indoor Sports Hall Athletics competition.
In view of the current weather forecast, should we receive a significant snowfall, the decision may be taken to close the school or amend our opening hours
Any decision would be taken after careful risk assessment, including a safe student/staff supervision ratio, the safety of the premises and travel arrangements.
During these potential weather conditions, could we ask that parents check our school website or Twitter feed @uxbridgehighsch, where an announcement will be posted by 7.00am each day, indicating if there is a change to our opening hours. Parents should assume the school is open, unless advised to the contrary.

Year 10 are currently studying natural forms in art and are looking at the work of Georgia O’Keeffe.
On 21st October Year 10 students visited the Tate to explore the O’Keeffe exhibition and got to see some of O’Keeffe’s most beautiful pieces of work including: Oriental Poppies and Autumn Leaves.
Each student completed a work sheet which encouraged them to independently research individual pieces of work and styles from O’Keeffe.
All students completed a number of drawing activities at the Tate and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
