On Tuesday 2nd October 2018, four students from UHS sixth form attended a three-day course at The Shakespeare Globe Theatre, National Justice Museum and Brunel University for A level students considering pursuing a degree in law.
On Friday 30th November 2018, forty Year 8 students visited the Science museum to gain a deeper understanding of the solar system, the development of telephones and clocks and the effects of climate change and global warming. The students spent the afternoon in an interactive science gallery, where they participated in dry ice demonstrations, lightning strike at a Tesla coil and even travelled through the virtual universe. The day ended with a science show, where students were shown the importance of the mathematical application of prime numbers.
The Road Safety and School Travel team in Hillingdon invited all Year 12 and 13 students from schools in Hillingdon to attend the Safe Drive Stay Alive presentation, being held at the Winston Church Hall in Ruislip on Thursday 22nd November 2018.
On Wednesday 21st November 2018, a group of Year 10 art students visited the Natural History Museum as part of their studies on skeletons. This was in preparation for the upcoming work in Leonardo Da Vinci’s anatomical drawings, in their natural forms unit.
On Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th October 2018, Year 10 students spent the day in cool Canary Wharf looking at their local example of an urban regeneration project in London. This trip was part of the students’ GCSE geography course and will help them with their human geography and fieldwork related exam papers at the end of Year 11.
On Wednesday 21st November 2018, 8 students from Years 7-10 attended the interfaith event in Hillingdon, involves bringing faith and communities together to discuss vital moral, ethical and social issues to make a wider voice for the youth in Hillingdon.
On Monday 19th November 2019, nine Year 12 students had their first of four visits to Dell HQ in Brentford, to join other students from various schools across London to be a part of the ‘Powering Potential’ employability programme.
On Wednesday 28th November 2018, nine Year 8 girls represented Uxbridge High School in a handball tournament held at Northwood School. The girls competed against other local schools for a chance to compete in the final.
On Tuesday 4th December 2018, three students from Years 9 and 10 attended a training programme focusing on mental health at the Holy Family Catholic School. This programme enabled students to boost their knowledge and awareness of mental health, ready to be ambassadors at Uxbridge High School.

Twenty-six students from Uxbridge High’s sixth form had the opportunity to attend the Skills London 2018 convention on Friday 23rd November 2018, at ExCel London.
