Published 12/12/18On Friday 30th November 2018, forty Year 8 students visited the Science museum to gain a deeper understanding of the solar system, the development of telephones and clocks and the effects of climate change and global warming. The students spent the afternoon in an interactive science gallery, where they participated in dry ice demonstrations, lightning strike at a Tesla coil and even travelled through the virtual universe. The day ended with a science show, where students were shown the importance of the mathematical application of prime numbers.

This trip was part of the students’ GCSE geography course and will help them with their human geography and fieldwork related exam papers at the end of Year 11.
