  • Science Museum

    On Friday 30th November 2018, forty Year 8 students visited the Science museum to gain a deeper understanding of the solar system, the development of telephones and clocks and the effects of climate change and global warming. The students spent the afternoon in an interactive science gallery, where they participated in dry ice demonstrations, lightning strike at a Tesla coil and even travelled through the virtual universe. The day ended with a science show, where students were shown the importance of the mathematical application of prime numbers.

  • London Docklands (Canary Wharf)

    On Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th October 2018, Year 10 students spent the day in cool Canary Wharf looking at their local example of an urban regeneration project in London. This trip was part of the students’ GCSE geography course and will help them with their human geography and fieldwork related exam papers at the end of Year 11.

    On Tuesday 4th December 2018, three students from Years 9 and 10 attended a training programme focusing on mental health at the Holy Family Catholic School. This programme enabled students to boost their knowledge and awareness of mental health, ready to be ambassadors at Uxbridge High School.
