Bank of England

On Tuesday 18th December 2018, 24 sixth form students visited the Bank of England.

Students were briefed on the history of the bank, its security and the mechanisms behind the currency available in the UK, including the new £5 note.

They were also given the opportunity to explore the Bank of England museum and hold a gold bar, whilst learning about how the role of the bank has changed in the last 100 years.
